Case Study:
Residential Manor House, Dorset

Project Details:
Project Type: Substantial Residential Property
Solar PV: 46.44 kWp
Hybrid DC-coupled battery storage: 40 kW | 40 kWh
Expected return on investment: 4.8 years
Brief:
The customer wanted to reduce energy costs and carbon footprint at their manor house home.
Solution:
Analysis of their current tariff, historical electricity usage and an assessment of available suitable roof space led to the development of a combined solar PV and battery storage installation that simultaneously fit within the customers budget and made a significant reduction in the electricity bills.
The suitability of the combined solar PV and battery storage system was made even more prominent by the customer’s purchase of an EV vehicle charger which can be charged at low or zero cost at home, further increasing energy savings.
CLIENT FEEDBACK:
As a large residential property with substantial electricity demands for an indoor swimming pool and EV charging, we worked with SCALA Renewables to produce a solar PV and battery storage solution that specifically met our needs. We especially liked that SCALA showed us more than one solution, explaining the benefits of each, and allowing us to select the right system to meet our requirements. We now enjoy substantial savings to our home electricity costs! SCALA were professional, attentive and communicative right from the start of the project to final commissioning and operation.
